What is it?

The first time you register for Journal, you will be given a web address or URL for your online Journal. You can make your Journal Private, inviting only certain people; or Public for the whole world to see. Access to your Journal will be via password only, and you can sign in securely at any time.

Tips and How To's

Register for Journal

  1. Click on the Sign Up Today button to create your Journal.
  2. From the "New Member Sign Up" page, type your Journal Member ID in the Create Journal Member ID textbox. This is the name you will use to sign into your Journal (Note: In some cases this may be an email address).
  3. Type a Valid Email address in the Email address textbox.
  4. Re-type your Email Address in the Confirm Email address textbox.
  5. Type your Password in the Password textbox.
  6. Re-type your Password in the Confirm Password textbox.
  7. Type your Web Address in the Type unique name for web address textbox. This will create a unique Web Address used to access your Journal on the Internet.
  8. Press Register.
  9. Follow the instructions for creating your Journal.
Tip:    A URL is an acronym for "Uniform Resource Locator." It is the address of a website on the Internet.
Tip:    For easy access to your Journal, save the Web Address or URL as a "favorite" in your Web Browser.
Tip:    Your Journal Password can be changed, however your User Name cannot.

Create a Journal from a New Account

Once you have signed up for Journal and created your account and unique web address:

  1. Click the "Get Started" button
  2. Choose the Journal Style.
  3. Choose the Journal Font Name.
  4. Press Next Step.
  5. Select layout template for your Home Page.
  6. Press Next Step.
  7. Choose to make your Journal Public or Private.
  8. Press Next Step.
  9. Optional: Choose your channels for Channels. You can skip this step and select them later.
  10. Press Finish.
  11. Optional: Choose to bookmark your Journal

You can begin adding content to your Journal.

Note: On first time use you may be promoted to download a plug-in for Enhanced Features. Also, an email will be sent to you upon registration. There is a link in the email that you will need to click on to active the Invite a Friend functions.
